My approach is to create a partnership in a safe environment that will allow you to confront obstacles, conflicts and fears that burden your life. I use a variety of modalities including psychodynamic, systems theory to help you understand how the past affects the present. With cognitive/behavior , we will explore the stories you create in your mind. Treating unresolved trauma with EMDR, EFT, and energy modalities can heal the wounds of the past.
Qigong & Tai Chi
Qigong and Tai Chi are ancient chinese health care systems that integrate physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention. These gentle, rhythmic movements reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality and enhance the immune system. It is dynamic meditation and reestablishes the body/mind/soul connection. The tai chi I teach is “Easy” consisting of 5 moves with transitions.
The present moment is the only reality that exists. Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment. Being mindful is becoming more aware. Meditation is the process that trains the mind to be more present focused. Mindfulness Meditation is a 6 week course which includes a booklet, guided meditation for home practice, group exercises and gentle qigong movements.
